Glow is not a mysterious quality some people have. It is light behaving predictably. When the surface of your skin is smooth and holding water, light hits it and reflects back evenly, and that is what reads to the eye as radiance. When dead cells have built up on the surface, that layer is rough and uneven, so light scatters instead of reflecting. Skin looks flat, grey, tired. Nothing is wrong with it. It just has a layer on it that is in the way.

Before Your Visit
- Book a few days ahead, not the morning of. Skin needs a little time to settle and look its best. Same-day is the most common mistake people make with this treatment.
- If it is your first time with us, come earlier. For a wedding or anything that matters, have one well in advance so we both know how your skin responds.
- Pause acids and retinoids beforehand. A few days off means we can exfoliate properly rather than working around already-sensitised skin.
- No fake tan. Exfoliation will take it off unevenly. Tan afterwards, not before.
- Tell us about any recent treatments. Peels, laser or waxing in the last couple of weeks change what we can do safely.
What to Expect
We look at your skin first and check the timing against whatever you are getting ready for, because that matters more than people expect. The treatment clears the dull surface layer, then rebuilds hydration and finishes with protection. You see the difference the same day, and it improves further over the following days as everything settles.
Aftercare
- Sunscreen daily, without exception. Freshly exfoliated skin burns more easily.
- Leave actives out for a day or two, then bring them back one at a time.

Expect little to no downtime. Depending on how much exfoliation your skin needed there may be some flushing for an hour or two, and it settles the same day. Will it help with dark spots or acne scars?
Not meaningfully. Brightening the surface makes uneven tone look a little less obvious, but pigmentation sits deeper than this treatment reaches and scarring is textural. Both need something targeted, and we will point you to the right page rather than sell you a course of these.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
Usually, with the exfoliation adjusted. Tell us at the consultation if your skin flushes easily or reacts to products, and if your skin is currently irritated we will suggest a hydrating facial first and this one once it has calmed.
